Tom May's Poetry: For Bobby. → thomas-may.tumblr.com

thomas-may:

What will you do in your life little one,
will you pick up the ball and run, run, run,
will you pick up the ball and run?

Will you always be ahead of the rest,
meet every challenge and pass every test,
better than most or best of the best?
Will you pick up the ball and run?

Or will you be slow…

We have been to the pole

‘…and we shall die like gentlemen.’

Some of Robert Falcon Scott’s last words as he realised his fate was sealed and there would be no successful return from his Antarctic expedition of 1912. 100 years ago and, while we may have been to the moon in the intervening years, Scott’s journey (and those of his men) still has few comparisons.

Letterpress poster 24cm x 54cm (roughly) and printed for my friend Johnny for his 50th.

Quite possibly the most reassuring book I've ever read. → amazon.co.uk

Matthijs van Boxsel’s Encyclopedia of Stupidity is an enlightening book, concerning itself with an exploration of the main driving force of Man: Stupidity. If you’ve ever felt like Will Ferrel in Zoolander: “…Why hasn’t anyone else noticed? I feel like I’m taking crazy pills!” Read it. It’s not you…it’s them.
